RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
The purpose of this position is to perform installation of underground work on new construction, maintenance or repair job sites. This position works under the direction of the Underground Crew Lead Electrician. Tasks which are expected to be performed include but are not limited to;

Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance or repair of underground installation work

Capable of installing complete infrastructure and duct bank systems

Demonstrates an understanding of equipment loading, care, & maintenance best practices

Capable of completing work safely based on directives from supervisor

Coordinates operations with the work of other crew members
-
Ensure the work is ready for scheduled inspections.

Possess a working knowledge of underground distribution.

Troubleshoots problems on underground raceways and circuits
-
Understands how to safely work around heavy equipment operations.

Maintains company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.

Compliant with safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment for all personnel.

This position is expected to promote and participate in a team oriented, positive work environment which promotes a culture of safety and open communication
QUALIFICATIONS
A person in this position should have the ability to obtain and demonstrate skills related to the construction and service of the commercial electrical industry. Experience following the established job site layout and install based upon the directives of the supervisor is critical to this position. Experience with excavation operations and the various associated equipment is required. While formal education is not a requirement for this position, associated trade certifications are beneficial. The individual should also demonstrate strong communication and problem solving skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position should be able to sit, bend, stoop and lift items which occasionally exceed 50 pounds. This position should also be able to climb, crawl and squat as the job demands. The work environment is outdoors in all type weather to include extreme heat and cold. The individual is exposed to extreme conditions of a construction site such as loud noise, dusty environments, moving mechanical equipment and regular exposure to the vibration of mechanical equipment.
PRIMARY WORK SITE
RD Graham Electric headquarters, located at 8020 Industrial Village Rd, Greensboro, NC 27409. This position will be deployed to job sites for the purpose of install and repair of new and existing circuits.
