RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • The purpose of this position is to coordinate the daily operations of the warehouse in a safe, efficient manner and ensure accurate inventory of the stock and special order items. The end result of this position is to ensure appropriate logistical support of the field crews without undue delay to the project or customer objectives.

  • The purpose is accomplished by monitoring and coordinating the daily workflow of the warehouse to support the logistical needs of the field crews. This includes maintaining accurate inventory of stock items through the utilization of the records management software program, ensuring accurate receivables, properly receipting deliveries, placing orders with suppliers and vendors to maintain stock and ensure special order and non-stock deliverables are handled in a timely fashion. Additionally, this position is responsible to maintain the warehouse in a manner which is neat, orderly, well organized and situated for optimum work flow and safety. This position is also responsible to provide input to the operations manager to assist with forecasting and trending future needs to create and enhance efficiencies within the warehouse operation.

  • This position is also responsible for the tool program which is intended to support field operations. A cursory check and inventory of the gang box, tools and equipment check out/check in are to be ongoing. Tools and equipment are to be reviewed for operational readiness, maintenance needs and basic safety compliance. Additionally, coordination of vehicle service and maintenance is to be completed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • This position requires high school education or equivalent, valid NCDL Class C and two years of experience in warehouse operations. An individual in this position should be able to perform intermediate math and reading skills at a minimum of high school up to college level. The candidate should be able to demonstrate proficiency with the use of inventory software, computers and technology. The candidate should also have experience using forklifts and other type of mechanized equipment.

  • The ideal candidate will have two years’ warehouse experience in the electrical industry. This individual will demonstrate an advanced level of problem solving skills. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate the ability to work with others to create a team oriented, positive work environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires frequent physical activity including standing, walking, lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching; exerting 50-100 lbs. occasionally with assistance, 25-50 lbs. frequently, 10-20 lbs. routinely. Use of hand tools and some mechanized equipment and ladders is to be expected.
