RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

The purpose of this position is to deliver educational material in a hybrid educational model of study to Company Employees. The individual assigned to the position will assist with the development, oversight, and delivery of the Companies Training Programs.  Additional duties include assisting with the Company’s safety program.

Job Duties:

  • Manages instruction delivery and provides general oversight of company’s four-year ApprenticeshipNC Commercial Electrician Training Program

  • Maintains safe and healthy training environment by following RD Graham Electric, Inc. polices, standards and legal regulations.

  • Conducts training classes by presenting training and educational materials in classroom and hands on setting.

  • Evaluates student performance and determines effectiveness of training to specific job applications.

  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications and staying abreast of National Electrical Code changes.

  • Actively participates in research, development, and delivery of educational curriculum.

  • Maintains the training facility and assigned tools, builds training props for curriculum delivery, and ensures materials are available for student learning.

  • Assists with oversight of the Company’s Safety Program to include classroom and field safety training.

  • Completes jobsite safety visits to determine safe work practices.

  • Assists with data entry and maintains records.

  • Any other tasks deemed necessary which assist with company goals and objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Typically, 6 + Years of experience as a journeyman in the commercial electrical construction building trade. This position should have experience working as a lead or foreman electrician with the ability to communicate effectively. Experience with the National Electrical Code to include research and application.  Additionally, this position should have background in Microsoft office suite as well as a general understanding of teaching methodologies. A person working in this position must possesses a state electrical license or the ability to acquire a state electrical license within one year of employment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position should be able to sit, bend, stoop and lift items not to exceed 50 pounds. This position should also be able to climb, crawl and squat as the job demands.
